Also, last year I planted some oats as a cover crop and what didn't germinate I am hoping will come up as a green manure crop first thing in the spring. I still have some of my oats and you are welcome to plant some in your beds ahead of your veggies if you would like. A blog that I follow has on their to do list for this summer to build a root cellar/wine cellar. It will be interesting to see what they do and how it turns out. that might be an option if the attic is not a viable choice. Mom.
